Webinar Time!

For my next assignment in Fundamentals for Creative Professionals, we were tasked to attend some webinars and understand the medias used in the big industries.

The webinars I attended were called "Demystifying Post-Production | Color Correction and Grading: Designing Creative Looks & Grades" and "Media Composer: Working with Color Corrections".

Demystifying Post-production | Color Correction and Grading: Designing Creative Looks & Grades

In this seminar they talked about Color Correction and Grading in the software of Cinema 4D, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Davinci Resolve 16. Overall the seminar focuses on what a lot of creative professionals will be experiencing when they get themselves into these softwares that are used by the big studios in the industry

The presenter, Maximus Raharjo, went through the pipeline of his work, and demonstrated his workflow. He also went through what each function does in adding filters and manipulating the colours of scenes.

Media Composer: Working with Color Corrections

In this seminar as well, they talked about Color Corrections, but mostly through the software of Davinci Resolve 16. It was a pretty short seminar that was 20 minutes, as they went through just some basic tips and tricks on achieving proper color corrections on scenes.

The presenter, Nigel Honey, showed us how to make consistent color correction in every scene while also giving tips on manipulation the tones, hues, and saturations.

Overall Experience

From these 2 seminars,

Additionally, I learned of how experimental I could also be in my future projects in order to familiarise myself more with the tools I work with. As both the results and the learning can be greatly rewarding.

Week 6 of 3D Animation Production

Good evening,  We have made substantial progress in our project work in which we are satisfied to inform. Currently we are in the midst of UV mapping out the entire environment and props and we are aiming to get it done by next Wednesday (020621).  In the span of a week I have managed to produce the interior layout and models of B0B's store which had some alignment issues but was well managed thanks to the architecture and layout done by both of my colleagues. SuQin has done a great job in modelling out the character Dinda, can't wait to see her come to life.  Joash had made an animatic that was pretty spot on to what we were looking for with the exception that there could have been a little more.

Week 1 of 3D Animation Production – "JQK Studios"

Good evening,  Today marks the first week of 3D Animation Production, where i work in a team of 3 people – myself included – to pitch and produce a 1 minute animation.  The group comprises, Chua Suqin, Joash Lee, and myself. Both Suqin and I are specialised in 3D animation, and Joash is specialised in Character Animation. In this role combination, we're hoping that two people would work on designing the assets, characters, and environment and the third to be the one animating the motions.  We're called JQK Studios which is an acronym of our initials. Creative aye? and currently i'm designing the logo for our studio. We're still in the pitching phase. I can't disclose openly here just yet about what we're working on, but soon after the pitch to our mentors and esteemed classmates, we'll be able to share on what's in the works. Stay tune. – Koda
